Maredsous 8 was my first introduction to Belgian beers, and it still makes me happy. Delirium Tremens is my current fave...

I picked up a keg of this today from the recommendation of my local beer mavin.

It's very good. Great porter flavor and not too heavy.

    Rochefort Trappistes 10
    Chimay Blue
    Gulden Draak
    St. Bernardus 12
These are some of my favorite "easy to find" Belgian beers, they are all dark, rich, and high ABV. There are lots of great beers from Belgium, you really can't go wrong!

Saw this today and almost bought it, that was before seeing the bottles of Chimay. Think I'll try this next time.

Finally tried Delirium Tremens tonight....amazing! It's very comparable to Duvel...I like it.

Right now? I'm really loving Cuvée des Trolls. It's a really "refreshing" beer and hitting the spot.

A small beer bar in RI has a Delirium Tower (rare indeed) as well a Drakk Tower, both are so good off the tap.

That said, top 'O the Beer chain for American Brewed Beligians, Allagash in Portland Me. My favorite has to be their Tripple, simply awsome.

not a big fan of belgian style beers.
But if I had to choose i guess Delirium. The dark one isn't bad.
That style beer is just too sweet for me.

DT, La Fin Du Monde, Maudite, Gouden Carolus Cuvee de Kaizer (blue label). They are all fantastic.

For me it'd have to be St. Bernardus Tripel or Delirium Noctorum

Top of the Brew Chain, some of their limited offerings are worth the price tag...$30 on up but very intersting pours that you'll really dig.

If you like Lindemans then it'd be kinda like, Yugo vs Bently.

Hey, I like Yugos! I shot one with an AT-4 once in the Balkans, but that's a story for another day ;)

Kosovo in 2000, we had an AT-4 left over from a mission earlier in the week, we had to "use" it or turn it back in, so while on patrol we saw a Yugo that looked abandoned. I got permission to shoot and turned it into a ball of fire, I think it jumped a good 5 ft straight up when the missile hit it.

Good days, good days indeed! :D

    Now back to beer!
