Fresh Pliny is totally worth the wait. It changes, even a month out will give you a completely different beer. If you're trying it for the first time, get the freshest bottle(s) you can, I've had 8 day old, and 8 week old. The 8 day old actually lived up to the hype, the 8 week, not so much.

It actually surprised me the first time I got an older Pliny. It was like 5 weeks from it's BOD, and it was nothing like the fresh ones I've had. I've mail ordered most of the Pliny I've had from a place in SF, it comes very fresh. I've gotten older examples via trade or tastings, and it doesn't hold up well. Many IPAs will, at least for a couple few months...... Pliny, no. I can't wait 'til I get to try it on tap, or even better at the brewery.

I should be going to RRBC this weekend for a Pliny run and I'm willing to do 1 for 1. How's a 4 for 4 sound? I'll get the freshest Pliny I can.

Does anybody have access to any Cigar City brews? I tried their humidor series in dc and i'm in love. I brought back 5 bombers and they were gone in a week.
