I don't care where i drink, just need to be accessible to taxis. I saw there is one a couple miles from Surly. I may be able to get a free conference room at the hotel (hampton at Dark Lord obliged). How far are you guys from surly? I currently havt a 11am flight home cause i was gonna go to shanghai the next monday, but that got postponed, so i can change that to a later one and tear it up.

You down on Vision of Disorder? Rheir new album is the ****.
Don't knock Britney Spears. Her CD's make great beer coasters.

One thing about after the event though is last year I was trashed. 5am to 2pm or so is a long time to drink big beers. Maybe we go early, get our Darkness and have a few beers there, then go somewhere for a tasting party? Up to you guys.

There will likely be 3 or 4 guys with me, each with 6 or 7 great beers. I've got a Westy 12 I've been saving since 09.

I was just looking at last year you had to be there by 730 or so. All the big beer events got way bigger this year. Prob have a tent and be drunk, but damn sure dont wanna miss out. I talked to others lining up at 8 (pm the night before!)

I would make a list, but I only have about 4 hours left in the iPad battery

I'll have some '11 Darkness, Surly Five and Syx, '11 Bourbon Barrel Old Raspy, '06 Westy 12 (I received in 2009), and a few more from 2012.

I would rather do a big tasting/sharing personally.
Totally agree, man. I was thinking more like after rather than before since it seems like alotta people are getting in line early. Not sure of my plans for that yet. We could all line up homebrew and craft that'd rival the best bars in the cities!!! Not to mention, some bars might let us bring homebrew for a 'club' type meeting, but they won't be down with us bringing craft beer in.
As for hotels, there's a ton down by the airport, but that's south. Downtown's great, and would have you right in the middle of the show. As for being close to Surly, they're in Brooklyn Park, NW of downtown. There's some hotels off of 694 in that area. That's more up in my neck of the woods, we're right on the Mpls/Columbia Hts border, about 2 miles south of 694.

.......and dude, I'll show you what I did with good ol' Britt, she's stashed in a closet behind the television in my bedroom. She's got headphones duct taped to her ears, hooked up to my iPod that's repeating my Bloodbath/Cannibal Corpse/Anal Blast playlist. She's so pretty when she crys.

We will have to work up a gameplan. I dont need to be by the airport, wherever is best for everyone else.

I bet Britt loves Anal Blast. Followed by Pig Destroyer and Anal Cu*t..

Fo sho! What good southern girl wouldn't!?

And yeah, I'll give ya a heads up on the hotels up this way. Brooklyn Park's one of those "hit or miss" type areas, and you don't wanna end up on the miss side. There's some nice stays just north of downtown that'll probably be your best bet, IMO.
