I'll see what I can get.

Does anyone that has been before know if there are there any tastings at hotels the day before? For Dark Lord Day, there was a huge one at the Hampton Inn.

I was kinda thinking that a little Beer Forum tasting; homebrew and/or craft. Bring something unique, or of your own creation. Munchies, maybe some stogies. Our place is pretty small, but the door's always open, and if the weather happens to still be nice we have a great patio. We could also do one of the local brew pubs or bars, but that would probably eliminate the BYO part of it. If anyone else is interested in hosting, I'll surely being some smokes and beer!
Just an idea, but whatta ya think, guys?

I got at least 2 buds driving up and i am flying in on Fri. We planned to get in line around 2-3. Down on after partying though. We will have a helluva stash of beers making the trip. Any hilton brand hotels near you (embassy suites/doubletree/hampton/homewood/etc)? I like bars, but i bet none could compete with the homebrews and craft beers we could line up. I would rather do a big tasting/sharing personally.

There is an embassy suites by the airport in Bloomington. Hilton too. Most of the hotels are either downtown or by the airport.

Surly Brewery is in Brooklyn Park, which is on the north side of the cities, airport is on the south side. Depends on if you want to stay close to where you drink, or where you travel.
