I either go to a local brewpub, or primarily it's at my house. I typically have anywhere from 5-9 homebrews on hand plus a variety of craft brew so there's always something delicious and there's no driving!

In order:
1) my bar - I love the crowd (and I do pay retail when I drink there as a patron)
2) my back porch - always have some good stuff in the fridge and I can sit and watch my crops grow
3) our place at Kentucky Lake. 15 rednecks+10 coolers full of beer+6 golfcarts = FUN
4) anywhere else I can get a cold beer w/friends

I too love bars, i am a people person, but there isn't really any around here, then the problem is getting home. So my favorite is here or at a friends house, some fireworks, my golfcart, and the bonfire and maybe a little something extra. But the best is watching the sun set on Ocracoke island southpoint with a cold beer surf fishing.

At least 3/4 of the drinking I do is at home. For several reasons. When we go out, my wife and I usually end up eating very unhealthy, and end up spending way too much money. So to keep things under control, we do dinner and drinks at home, or go to a BYOB.

Most of my drinking is done at home. We're slowly working on turning our house into our perfect brew pub.... When we do go out for some beers, we usually go to one of a few brew pubs here in town. Town Hall and Barley John's are two of our favorites, although when it comes to having a meal with our beers, Town Hall takes the cake for sure. Their Seven Corners Burger is absolutely awe inspiring.
As for a d@mn good bar, with some great beer and good atmosphere, I'd have to say that Bryant-Lake Bowl is the place to be. A boatload of craft taps, dirt cheap PBR tallboys, fun location and bowling to boot.... can't beat that with a stick. They get fun things like barrels of Alaskan Smoked Porter and random casked beers, have munchies like their Artisanal Cheese Plate and entrees from Phad Thai to burritos, and one of the bar tenders is a buddy of mine, so there's free beer samples too..... BLB's usually where I go to drink.

When we do go out for drinks and a meal, there are some really great places. Some of our favorites are Pearly Baker's Alehouse in Easton, PA, the Ship Inn Brewpub in Milford, NJ, Circa Restaurant in High Bridge, NJ, and the Drafting Room in Spring House, PA. We also love Bethlehem Brew Works in Bethlehem, PA!

Either at home in the renovated man cave garage or at the Horse Brass Pub in Portland. Small pub with a great selection, great folks, and great atmosphere!
