Default Saison du Buff

Wow! Great hop character! Not too much Belgian funk! ABV isn't too low or too high! Solid drinker for me. I'm thinking this is now my favorite Saison!

Lots of herbs. There is a recipe in one of the Stone books. It's on HBT also.

I got this one a couple months ago and my wife absolutely loved it. I was blown away by the herbiness.

I'm planning on trying to brew something similar next summer.

Isn't that the brew that Stone, Dogfish Head, and Victory brewed at the same time? I watched a Google+ web feed a few months back that Wil Weaton held with the brewers. It was interesting, been wanting to find a bottle of this.

I know on the first round, they all got together, then brewed a batch at each of their breweries.

I had the stone version but can't find victory or dogfish. I have heard they are all slightly different.

I've never had a black saison. I'll have to look for it!

Oh they're awesome man. I'll send you a bottle of '11 Pepe Nero from Goose Island when we trade home brews, really good $hit. Knowing what you say and post about your beer palate, you'll probably fall in love at first sip.
