Blue Moon is good on some beers, lack luster on others. I love this year's honey wheat and Harvest Moon.... Well fall isn't over with and the Harvest Moon got pulled from my local grocery store shelf and they replaced it with a winter brew. I grabbed a pack of Shock-Top pumpkin wheat and the winter abbey. Well the Winter Abbey isn't overly spiced, nicely malted, and heavy enough on alcohol to sit good on a cooler day. The Shock Top is ok but not a Harvest Moon btw.
I've never had the Winter Abbey, but I used to love their pumpkin ale. It was a very good beer in the pre-MillerCoors years. Not knocking MCs, I drink a lot of Banquet in the summer, but it seems inevitable that when a macro buys or starts a craft line, the beer gets changed into something much more marketable.
