I'm with chode1. My favorite mass produced lager is Yuengling...

Cheers!

Chris

Heineken is one of my least favorite beers. Just don't care for it.

Schlafly makes a great Helles style summer lager. Of course, Yeungling is a given. Too bad I can't get it here.

I've been wanting to try Yuengling.

But I have to say that I'm not a fan of Heineken AT ALL! But to each each their own.

I stopped drinking beer (lagers) in 1990, I figured $h*t, (Bud , Miller etc.) if this is all I have to look forward to then I'm done.
Switched to JD and JB for the next 19yrs. (yeah I know) LOL!

I've a Cousin that tried his hand at the Craft Beer revolution in the early 80's in Sacramento Cali and it had a short lived career (River City Brewing Co.) if there's any old school Cali folks on here that may remember.

I discovered ALE's, and became a Born Again Beer Geek and Brewer about 3-4yrs ago.

Cold fermented bottom feeders just hold no interest to me, that's not a dig, I'm not a fan of alot of things...to each his own.

I'm in general agreement here, I'm not the biggest lager fan myself. However, a Heineken on tap is 100x better tasting than a green bottle, which contributes to the nasty skunk flavor. Ask the bartender for a sample taster if you see it on tap, it's actually quite enjoyable and has a nice European flavor, you'll be pleasantly surprised. That being said, if there's an IPA or local craft available, I'm passing on the Heiny.

I enjoy Heineken the most. But when it comes down to it drinking Natural Light or Keystone Light is also enjoyable and affordable.

I dislike Heineken.

I actually like Grolsch. I buy the bottles with the swing tops so I can use them for bottling my home brew. It costs me a premium of 50-75 cents per bottle, compared to paying $2.50 per empty bottle from a home brew supply store.

It's quite possible! I sure have drank a lot of them in the over the years! One of the most memorable places that I have ever enjoyed a cold greenie was when I was a young Sailor in the U.S. Navy while visting La Maddalena, Sardina

When we squids were on liberty we were always in the market for the cheapest beer we could find. One afternoon my buddy and I were taking a ferry between islands on the archipelago. The Heinekens in the bar on the ferry were about 300 lira. As I recall that was about .75 cents in $ USD. Just about eveywhere else they were at least twice or triple that amount. If suffices to say we spent a lot of time on that ferry!

Too much DMS for my palate. Heinie, Corona and Rolling Rock have always struck me as "creamed corn" beer, not really my thing.
