Default Hi from S.E. Texas!

Just a quick note saying HI!
I've been making beer for a few years but limited to extract and partial boils (stovetop). Been enjoying The local brewery's (Texas Big Beer Brewery) blonde recently but also busy busy so won't be drinking more of it (10+ABV) until tomorrow night! I got so hammered last Friday night at MLG I could hardly remember taking the guys money at the poker game later that night!
Thank goodness my daughter was there as my designated driver!

Sounds like a good time! (Out of curiosity, MLG?)

Welcome to the site!

MLG=Major League Grill.
It's a bit pricey but a good craft selection.
Coming up SOON (S.E. TX.) is the annual THE ART OF BEER at AMSET in Beaumont!

Oh, cool. Maybe you can convince them to head to SW TX so when I get down there again, I won't be in a barren wasteland of craft beer. (Or so I've heard many times.)

I can't speak for SW, I'm over by LA.,, closer to the coast than to Shreveport. http://texasbigbeer.com/ is in Buna, TX.
They have open house first Sat of the month I believe (noon-2pm?).

I'm sure they are smart enough to stay far away from that side of the state. It's been a few years since I've been there, but in having my brother check and conversing online with people from TX or near there, it sounds pretty devoid of anything good, craft beer-wise.
