Looks like Greensboro, NC will be getting a new craft brewery: "Pig Pounder".
It is set to open this fall, and will be servicing three restaurants in Greensboro: Darryl's, The Marshall Free House, and "an unnamed gourmet burger restaurant that will open this fall".
I grew up in Greensboro, so I like to keep an eye on it. I live near Raleigh, now, so Greensboro is a bit of a trek (hour-ish drive). I'm there often enough, though, so Pig Pounder will be on my "to do" list this fall .
I'll have to add it to the "reviews/Breweries/Pubs" section once I do, unless someone beats me to it.
The farms are starting to experiment with growing hops in the mountains and foothills. The Hickory area has a few brew pubs, but I seldom get time to visit them... It sucks working second shift sometimes.
Im from raleigh and was wondering if you knew when exactly this brewery is opening up. I'd definately love to try some other beers from around this area. Im still drinking lone rider and shotgun betty.
