What's Your Favorite Beer Location?
Brew Pub? Micro-brewery? Nano-brewery? Beer Bar? Bottle Shop? Your Garage?
For a while, mine was Old Chicago. Great customer incentives program(s), good selection of relatively good beer, and competitive prices. I still go there once in a while, but drinking out has lost it's appeal to me lately. Too much work and risk for not enough reward.
Also, since I recently started homebrewing, commercial establishments don't hold the same appeal to me anymore. With the exception of my brewing supply store, which is my new favorite beer location. Awesome customer service, great selection and prices, and she always has a batch of homebrew on tap to let people sample.
So tell us about yours. When you want good beer, where do you go? This thread has a secondary purpose, in that I hope it will help me locate good regional Beer Mini-Meccas to try out when I travel.
Cheers! :mug:

I usually just love hanging out in mine or a friends (and fellow brewer) garage tasting our latest beer we've made or drinking older ones we've had sitting around for months and commenting on how well they have aged. Of course when we do this, we're usually brewing at the same time .
In the summer though, there is a Micro brewery called Der Blokken in Bremerton (about 5-10mins MAX from the ferry). It's in an old laundry mat, so they have 2 large garage doors that they open up when the weather is nice. Good beer too of course, 5 of their own and 5 guest taps of other beers from around the Puget Sound. Also the food is mostly German related but very good. Love their burgers! Fresh ground beef, none of that frozen stuff, and on a chibata bun...YUM! And it's only 2 blocks down from my house! So that would be a very close second for me .

Fav place to sit, enjoy some food & great old atmosphere with some amazing beers: Diamond Knot Brewery @ Mukilteo Ferry. Parking is a bitch & the place is a little small and gets *very* hot in the summer, but great place IMHO.
Fav place to get lit and point at random tap for some fun: Taphouse in Bellevue, WA (over 300 beers on tap) (best to go on Sundays for happy hour)

I've been to the one in downtown Seattle, and I heard they opened one near me in Boise, so I'll have to head over there soon to check it out.
edit: Whoops, it seems they two are not related to one another.

Willimantic Brewing Company (aka) Mainstreet Cafe in Willimantic Conn. Pretty much ask anyone in New England and they've been there or want to go there.
Won Resturant and Bar Magazines best Beer Bar in America 2011.
Track 84 in Warwick Ri, (divey and proud) the owner brings in lot's O west coast, mid- west and belgian taps. Well known to beer geeks and locals who drink yellow fizzy water as well, always fun.

With the current boom in the Microbrewery business, especially in the Northwest, my favorite beer location is any town with a new micro/macro in it. It's great to be able to check out all of these new places with great beer.

It's a toss-up between Naked City Brewing, Black Raven Brewing, and Malt n Vine for me.
