Beer Of The Day: Zombie Dust

First off � how bad ass is this label? A Zombie King wearing the remnants of his defeated foes� Superman�s cape, Spiderman�s chest spider and who knows what this guy did to get the rest of his gear. I�ve read that the label was designed by comic artist, Tim Seeley, and being a graphic designer myself, I have to give him a shout out for a job well done.

The beer, my god, the beer� You might expect a lesser quality beer to have such an adventurous label but this doesn�t seem to be the case. Poured bottle to glass, the rotting, zombie drink turned immediate golden amber with yellow citrus hints. About a two finger head (I am so bad at pouring) that was high contrasting to the beer with a solid white foam of aromatic bubbles. The smell came right away too, grapefruit. Grapefruit and lemony zombie zest. More grapefruit than Pliny The Eldest yesterday. Carmel? Alright here we go�

Birmingham Hop City pickups

The 64 is snake handler for skeezer and the 32 is Peanut Butter Porter from Beer Engineers...its a hell of a brew @13% abv.

I love to BBQ, and with all this talk of steak, jerky, charcoal or gas, and with the nice weather now at hand I figured I'd start a thread about que'in.

So whatta you guys like to bbq/grill? Tonight I'm doing up some prime, dry-aged ribeyes. Yeah, I couldn't resist after that thread this morning. No Sweet Baby though, just salt, pepper and maybe a dash of worchestershire before they go on. Should be a good start to the weekend.

...is my snack of choice, and right up there with bacon as a top food. After years of thinking about it I finally bought a dehydrator and am giving homemade jerky go soon. Any other jerky makers on here? Tips/recipes/etc?

From the Kindle/Nook thread I gather that there are quite a few readers here among us. So what are you reading right now?

I'm in the middle of three books at the moment. My bedtime book is an anthology of Golden Age science fiction short stories. My living room book is Unnatural Acts by Stuart Woods. Woods has fallen off lately, but I still can't resist the Stone Barrington series. My take with me book is Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchet. I've read this one one several times and it always makes me laugh out loud, as do all of Pratchet's books.

Generally, I like police procedurals, legal thrillers, classic science fiction and good urban fantasy...

Any Kindle or Nook readers here?

I was early for meeting and ran into a distributor I normally don't go to. They had highly sought (at least for me) Maine Lunch. I bought two. They seemed to have about 4 more. Anyone want me to get them one? I'd need to know by one pm east. So I can go on way back from this meeting.

I'm headed to San Clemente, CA on Thursday of next week for my brothers wedding. I will be traveling between San Clemente, Tustin, and San Diego within the 4 days I will be there.
I plan on hitting The Bruery, Alpine, and Ale Smith so far.
I know some of you travel often *cough* Skeezer *cough*.
Any other spots I should hit? Or if you're local, I will drink beers with you. First one is on me!!

This thread will evolve after my trip to get ideas for my traveling Wife. For now, let's start with the San Clemente, San Diego, Tustin area.
